THE
BORNEO BEKANTAN
A special animal, you will not find in other places. The rare
monkeys' species or Bekantan has very long nose, inhabit an
island near the mouth of the river Barito and can be reached
by speedboat from a short distance. Besides above objects, South
Borneo has many trip destinations, mainly for the adventurous
travelers where modern facilities may not always be available.
One of them is Loksado, about 174 km north from Banjarmasin,
the place where the Dayak Tribes live in their traditional way.
Entering into the jungle of tropical rain forest, spending the
nights with the Dayak tribes in their Long House, some time
you will trek on the hills, cross the rivers, follow the paths,
then take a Dayak bamboo raft along the river guided by trained
and experiences Dayak people maneuvering downstream for the
next destination and return to town
