Tips
Tips are accepted with pleasure. For good service in restaurants we
suggest a tip between Rp 5,000 - Rp 10,000 for hotel housekeeping
service, a tip of Rp 5,000 per day is sufficient. Larger hotels and
restaurants charge a service fee of normally 5-10%. This amount is
divided between all staff. In this situation, if you have received
exceptional service, then an extra tip is optional. On tours, for
a good guide and driver, a tip of between Rp 10,000 - Rp 20,000 (split
between the guide and driver) will be more than acceptable. Porters
at airports and hotels require a tip of Rp 3,000 per piece of luggage.
Salaries are low in Bali and tips are an important means of earning
a living.
Litter
Please help to keep Bali clean and tidy. Items such as used batteries
should be taken back with you when return home. Unused medication
can be offered to the tour guide. He will then denote it to the needy.

there. In countryside areas, there is no organized litter collection.
Please be frugal with water and electric consumption. Some hotels

usage to be kept to a minimum. We thank you for your understanding
and assistance.
