EXOTIC TORAJA LAND TOUR

Day 1: Ujung Pandang
- Rantepao
Upon arrival at Ujung Pandang's Hasanuddin Airport, our guide
will met you. Drive directly to Toraja by private car or mini
coach through charming Bugis villages and Sulawesi's lush green
mountains. This remarkable 308-km drive is full of fascinating
sights. Several stops will be made en route to see traditional
silk weaving and sail boat construction. Lunch at Pare-Pare.
Arrive in Toraja in the late afternoon. Check-in at a charming

Day
2: Tana Toraja
Full day excursion in Torajaland visiting stone graves and wooden
effigies at Lemo and Suaya, natural graves at Marante and cave
at Londa. Those are some ancient graves where bodies of the
dead are interred with animistic ritual, which has been practiced
for centuries. At Ke'te Kesu, Nanggala and Siguntu' you can
see the traditional Toraja houses, the remarkable architectures
designed in a boat shape, even very much similar to buffalo's
horns. You will be among the world's few and fortunate travelers
to visit this remote area. Any ceremonies such as fun reachable
on foot will be included in the program. Market on mountain

3: Rantepao - Ujung Pandang
After early breakfast at hotel, sadly you must leave Toraja
and drive through the same road to the airport of Ujung Pandang
to catch the flight for your next destination. Refreshment stop
will be made at Puncak Lakawan and lunch at seafood restaurant
in Pare-Pare. In time arrive at airport, report and check-in
luggage. (BL)

2 to 3: Tana Toraja
Two days have been set aside for excursions in Torajaland. Highlights
of this region include the ancient stone graves of Lemo, Londa
and Marante where the bodies of the dead are placed in holes
carved into rocky cliffs or inside natural cave in accordance
with ancient traditional ritual which are still practiced till
today. In addition, you will see the remarkable Toraja houses
of Ke'te Kesu, Nanggaia and Palawa with their highly, stylized
curved roofs in the shape of boat or similar to that of buffalo
horns. You will be among the world few and fortunate travelers

Day 1:
Ujung Pandang - Bulukumba
Upon arrival
at Ujung Pandang's Hasanuddin Airport, meeting service and drive
directly to Bulukumba. Lunch is served in Malino, which is situated
1100 m above sea level. After lunch the trip is continued to
Bulukumba. Beautiful scenery and rice terraces can be enjoyed
along the way. Late afternoon arrive in Bira Beach, check in
at hotel for accommodation and dinner. (LD)
Day
2 : Bulukumba
After breakfast at hotel, a visit will be made to the center
of boat construction at Tana Beru, then to the white sandy beach
at Bira for swimming and sunbathing. Lunch box is provided.

3: Bulukumba - Sengkang
After early breakfast at hotel, drive directly to Sengkang.
Lunch is served at Bone. A short tour in this area is made to
visit the village of Bajo people who are known as sea-people.
Late afternoon, check in at the hotel in Sengkang for accommodation.
Dinner is served at hotel. This is a very good opportunity to
try the local food arranged in a traditional way and served
by young girls in traditional costumes. (BLD)

4: Sengkang - Rantepao
After early breakfast at hotel, a visit will be made to Temple
Lake to see the center of silk and the floating houses of the
Bugisnese along the river to the lake. Then drive directly to
Torajaland along the coastal area of the eastern part of the
peninsula. Lunch will be served in local restaurant in Palopo.
After visiting a traditional port of Palopo, drive up to Rantepao
through a fascinating panorama of Puncak. In the hotel for dinner
and accommodation. (BLD)
